Petals Upon Petals is a watercolor painting celebrating the lush, layered beauty of a peony in full bloom. Soft blush and delicate pale pink petals overlap with vibrant pops of deeper rose, drawing the eye toward a warm golden center.
The close-up composition fills the canvas from edge to edge, giving this floral piece an almost abstract quality while preserving the softness and organic movement of watercolor. The painted design continues around the edges of the canvas, creating a beautifully finished appearance from multiple angles.
Romantic, bright, and full of movement, Petals Upon Petals makes a lovely statement on its own or paired with other botanical artwork.
